Golf in Tuscany
Golf in Tuscany is a great way to explore the region's beautiful countryside during your holiday. Tuscany is home to some of the best golf courses in Italy. Wide expanses of open countryside, rolling hills and woodlands make the region a perfect location for golfing holidays.
Castelfalfi Golf Club
There are a number of courses in Tuscany where you can enjoy playing a round of golf, amongst them the famous 18-hole "Toscana" course at Castelfalfi. The course is one of Italy's most scenic, as it winds its way through an ancient medieval village, vineyards and olive groves.
This is the place where nature, wellness and sport combine, forming the perfect setting for the swing. The Castelfalfi hilltop in Tuscany is a golf paradise, with lakes and forest, providing one of the most pleasing golfing experiences in all of Europe. The 27-hole layout is now divided into two spectacular courses – Mountain Course and Lake Course.
Opened in 1971, the Mountain Course is the oldest course in the region. The layout was designed by notable architect Rocky Roquemore, who also designed courses such as Loch Lomond and St Andrews Castle Courses. Among the most difficult in Italy with its steep slopes, this is a Championship Course. Very appreciated by more experienced players, its layout offers different game strategies and enchanting panoramic views over the Castle of Castelfalfi.
The Lake Course is a shorter and more open course, with a charming and fun layout suitable for golfers of all levels. Set in an unrivaled panorama, the course begins with a west-oriented tee, following the gentle curves of the Tuscan hills. The 9-hole Lake Course gives an opportunity to relax and get captivated by the magnificent sceneries you will never see elsewhere.
The Country Clubhouse
Immersed in the heart of the Golf Club Castelfalfi, the Country Clubhouse is a great place to share a passion for golf and take a break from the game. You have a chance to enjoy the extraordinary view over the Mountain Course through its wide windows or on the welcoming outdoor terrace. The Golf Club Castelfalfi provides a complete equipment rental service and everything you need for a pleasurable vacation.
