Doganaccia 2000, the heart of Central Apennines
East of Abetone and also close to the Tuscan regional border, you’ll find another popular ski resort Doganaccia 2000. People come here even in the summertime just to enjoy the picturesque Central Apennine views of Tuscany from one side and Emilia Romagna from another. Starting from December, the area turns into a lively ski resort. 15 km of slopes for skiing and snowboarding are at your disposal.
Thanks to the moderate slopes, it’s an excellent place for intermediate skiers. Besides commonly known skiing and snowboarding, tourists flock there for mountaineering, snowshoeing, snowkiting and paragliding. Doganaccia also boasts the largest area of illuminated slopes in the Central Apennines, so you can keep practicing as long as you wish.
